(SPOT.ph) Much to the delight of travelers, Baguio City in Benguet started reopening to tourists in the last quarter of 2020. Guests from different parts of Luzon started going up to the City of Pines on October 22, 2020, jumpstarting tourism in the ever-popular tourist destination. In case you're looking to enjoy the chilly weather in the Cordilleras, we round up everything you need to know if you're traveling to Baguio soon.

What to Bring
- Baguio VISITA account on your mobile app
- Confirmed itinerary and accommodation booking, valid ID, and ID photo are required for uploading when you create your Baguio VISITA account.
- Negative RT-PCR or rapid antigen test within 72 hours prior to arrival. You also have the option of having your rapid antigen test upon arrival at the triage site in Baguio City for P1,300.
What to Expect
- Tourists of all ages are allowed to visit Baguio City. But from January 19 to February 1, visitors below 18 and above 65 cannot leave their hotel rooms.
- QR-coded tourist pass should be presented in all checkpoints, hotels, tourism establishments, and tourist sites.
- Guests should proceed to triage upon arrival. These are located at the CAP Convention Center, Camp John Hay (open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) and Baguio Convention Center (open 24 hours).
- Tourist arrivals are capped at 750 pax a day (as of October 28, 2020).
- Same-day trips are allowed.
How to Get There
Victory Liner and Genesis have resumed their point-to-point operations from Cubao to Baguio with daily trip schedules. You are required to present your negative test and QR-coded tourist pass upon boarding.

Baguio to Cubao:
- 8 a.m.

Casa Vallejo, Baguio's oldest hotel, secured their certification to operate in June during the enforcement of modified general community quarantine in Benguet. They're operational at 50% capacity, offering exclusivity and privacy while still being accessible to the city's top attractions like Burnham Park. Miele Guide awardee Hill Station, which is located at the ground floor of Casa Vallejo, is also open to diners.

This boutique hotel takes pride in its one-of-a-kind architecture, which is inspired by Cordilleran artistry. The space isn't much, but all corners boast local aesthetics: the triangular ceiling was designed to look like Baguio's terrain, the front desk was made from pine timber, and huge windows let in lots of natural light.
