Spanish establishment Las Flores goes even more intimate at Las Flores Dining+, a reservations-only dining spot in Makati. It has a modern, minimalist vibe and only 20 seats, so you and your S.O. can go ahead and whisper sweet nothings—or just gush about their excellent Spanish eats. Their menu includes everything from light pintxos and mixtos to paella to heavier mains, like the crispy-on-the-outside, juicy-on-the-inside Crispy Pork Belly (P995).

Las Flores Dining+ is at 9780 Kamagong Street, San Antonio Village, Makati City. For reservations, fill out the reservation form, contact 0995-846-9519, or send them an e-mail at reservations.lfdiningplus@gmail.com.

Alternatively, you can also dine al-fresco and savor the Makati breeze. You can start your meal with appetizers like the Chorizo Criollo (P790) or Provoleta (P890) before moving on to the literal meat of the matter—their steaks—among which are the Ojo de Bife (P3,480/500 grams, 4,995/800 grams) and Bife de Chorizo (P4,720/400 grams, P6,180/600 grams).

You can also visit their al-fresco dining area if you prefer some fresh air. Their menu can be thought of as a cross between other Colin McKay restaurants People’s Palace and Sala, with Asian-inspired dishes taken out for a sophisticated spin—think bites of Prawn Scotch Eggs, Betel Leaves, and Coconut Chili Sambal (P280), or Grilled Shortrib, Green Onion and Ginger, Kimchi, Hot Bean Paste, Lettuce, and Rice (P980).

Start off with the La Royale Oysters (P1,395)—oysters are natural aphrodisiacs, ICYDK—then go for one of their meaty mains, like the Australian Wagyu Beef Rib Eye MS 6 (P3,800/300 grams) or Lamb Rack Herb Crust (P2,650/300 grams).
