(SPOT.ph) Almost every culture has their own take on deep-fried, breaded meats. One standout variation, however, is the humble chicken nugget for its satisfying savory flavor. Another popular version is Japan's katsu for its irresistible crunch. Just when you thought they'd stay separate entities forever comes a mind-blowing mashup that brings the best of both worlds into one ingenious bite: McDonald's in the U.K. is introducing Katsu Curry Chicken McNuggets starting December 30. Spotters in the area, you're in luck!

McDonald's renders the Japanese dish into chicken nugget form by coating their signature McNuggets with panko breadcrumbs. The curry element is added by way of a sweet curry dip. We don't know about you, but our mouths are already watering! It'll be available for only six weeks, and goes for £3.59 (P231.30) for six, £4.09 (P263.52) for nine, and £5.99 (P385.93) for 20. For now, we can only hope that the dish makes its way to our shores, too—but it sure doesn't hurt to dream!
McDonald’s is a fast-food restaurant that dates back all the way to the '40s, when brothers Maurice and Richard McDonald turned their drive-thru barbecue restaurant in California into a burger joint. They came to the Philippines in 1981, when Dr. George T. Yang opened the first Philippine McDonald’s restaurant in Morayta, Manila. To this day, they’re loved for their burgers, fries, chicken, and other familiar quick-service eats, with Philippine exclusives that include the Chicken McDo with Spaghetti.
