(SPOT.ph) Biscoff—a.k.a. the brand of the the Dutch cookie known as speculoos—is loved for its distinctive and wonderful spiced flavor. We've seen it turned into cookie butter, chewy cookies, and ice cream, but we recently spotted yet another Biscoff dessert that's worth adding to your must-try list: Cebu-based purveyor The Dessertspoon makes Biscoff Cheesecake that's totally got us swooning!
The Biscoff Cheesecake highlights its namesake cookie with its layers of a crushed Biscoff cookie crust, Biscoff-flavored cheesecake with dulce de leche, and melted Biscoff spread and whipped-cream topping. That's speculoos goodness in every layer! One eight-inch cheesecake goes for P1,000.
The Dessertspoon's got other baked goods under their sleeves, too. The Oatmeal Fudge Bars (P240/eight bars) is a chewy and fudgy way to get your chocolate fix, while the Chocolate Chip Walnut Cookies (P210/tub of six) is a no-fail crowdpleaser. For a more garlicky treat, you can alternatively go for the Korean Cream Cheese Garlic Bread (P180/two buns).
Looking for a savory dish to fill up on before going ham on the desserts? 'Tis the season for all things warm and soothing, like soup—which you can get in the form of soup kits! Some of our recommendations are the DIY Laksa by Babu and the Tantanmen Ramen Kit by Ramen Ron.
