(SPOT.ph) True-blue coffeeheads would know you can get some of the best cups of joe at Japan's Omotesando Koffee. If you miss traveling but are looking to get the Omotesando Koffee experience, we've got good news: we've gotten word that the coffee spot is soon opening in Manila—specifically at Power Plant Mall.
Born in Japan, Omotesando Koffee is known for serving up specialty brews in spaces with minimalist interiors that embody Japanese Zen. Barista Eiichi Kunimoto opened the first Omotesando Koffee in an old tatami house in Omotesando Hills in Tokyo—initially just as a pop-up spot, until the word spread. Today, they've got branches all over the world: in Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore, Bangkok, London, and soon, Manila. In fact, they're scheduled to open their doors by March 2021, according to Rockwell Land.
While the original location closed down in 2015, the spirit of Omotesando Koffee lives on in Tokyo as Koffee Mameya, opened by Kunimoto in the same spot Omotesando Koffee opened originally.
