(SPOT.ph) Christmas is right around the corner and we doubt any quarantine rules are going to stop Pinoys from getting their holiday karaoke game on. Virtual or otherwise, we know you have a couple of prepared tracks up your sleeves! So we asked Spotters which tracks are your faves to belt out during reunions—when the elders are waving cash prizes in the air (or just because you want to)—and yup, you delivered.

From old-school hits to '90s nostalgia and more, you probably know the code of your fave karaoke track by heart even without checking the song book. Oh, also, by unbeatable, we don't mean easy to sing, just a lot of fun to sing. SPOT.ph will not be responsible for anything that happens as a result of you taking charge of the mic. Go get that "100!"

"Mr. Brightside" by The Killers

It doesn't matter how long it has been since you least heard this song; the lyrics have already been seared into your brain. This The Killers track is arguably one of their biggest, and is a perfect, loud, rocker mix, of angst, regret, paranoia, and, and all the good emotional things that makes a song fun to yell along too. You could also try singing it properly, but where's the fun in that?
"Forever's Not Enough" by Sarah Geronimo

Before "Tala" came crashing into everyone's feeds in 2019, this was the Sarah G hit that dominated the airwaves. It's best to sing when you're a few drinks in and/or just need some emotional release. Call it cheesy but we alll know you can relate to it on some level!
"Love Song" by Sara Bareilles

Who doesn't love a good anti-love song? This 2007 hit was a gamechanger when it first came out and a lot of people related to the upbeat and fun track. Sing it when you just need some good vibes!
"Migraine" by Moonstar 88

Raise your hands if you're guilty of practically screaming the opening lines of this song into the mic—knowing perfectly well it's a soft track. Doesn't matter. Something about "Oo nga pala, hindi nga pala tayo" deserves to be yelled. This definitive 2000s track will never not be a good choice for some emotional catharsis.
"Dancing Queen" by ABBA

No Pinoy party is complete without this '70s track playing one way or another! You've probably encountered titas who sing this on karaoke at least once or twice, in a reunion. Also, come on, who doesn't feel like a queen when singing and dancing along to this? Thinking of the intro alone gives us the chills—the good kind.
"Killing Me Softly With His Song" by Roberta Flack

Okay, so this is the version your titas probably know best, but younger generations probably know the hip-hop track by the Fugees! The song has been covered and rehashed many times, owing to those hard-hitting #hugot lyrics and soft guitar melody, and we don't doubt you give it your own flair at the karaoke machine.
"New York, New York" by Frank Sinatra

So we managed to keep "My Way" of this list, but we all know that Ol' Blue Eyes can't be absent from any Pinoy karaoke session. "New York, New York" just has that showstopping quality nobody can pass on.
"With a Smile" by Eraserheads

As if any karaoke list would be complete without Eraserheads, either. Aside from "Ang Huling El Bimbo," this feel-good track is one that gets the people really singing, and rounds out the good vibes all around—as long as you're singing in-key.
"I'll Be Over You" by Toto

The '80s is a goldmine of rocking songs to belt along to on karaoke, but Toto just takes the cake. Sure, you can go with the upbeat "Africa" to get your friends in like an instant choir, but "I'll Be Over You" is the song to sing when you just need to get some things off your chest. Take it easy on the chorus. Sing it with us now, "As soon as my heart... stops... breakin'!"
"Closing Time" by Semisonic

Pinoy gatherings tend to take a literal turn when this song is played. This Semisonic hit is usually the last track before everyone finally decides to call it a night. Nine times out of 10 (not an actual stat, mind you) the entire party joins in during the chorus making for a pretty sweet last note.
