Your Katsu Craving Can Help Typhoon Ulysses Survivors in Cagayan

(SPOT.ph) Our fellow Filipinos in Cagayan Valley were struck especially hard with the advent of Typhoon Ulysses. As flooding got more and more extreme, many homes got submerged underwater and families were forced to move to evacuation centers. They need our help, and we've got good news if you also happen to be craving good food. The Standard Group restaurants—that's YabuIppudo, and Elephant Grounds—are donating 100% of their profits on November 25 to non-profit organization Gawad Kalinga, who is running relief operations in Cagayan Valley!

This applies to the following branches of the said restaurants:

  • Yabu: SM Megamall, Robinsons Magnolia, SM Mall of Asia, SM Southmall, SM Aura, SM North Edsa, Alabang Town Center, Glorietta 2, Powerplant Mall, Robinsons Place Manila, U.P. Town Center, Robinsons Galleria, Ayala Malls Vertis, Ayala Malls 30th, Ayala Malls Feliz
  • Ippudo: SM Megamall, Robinsons Place Manila, Uptown Mall, SM Mall of Asia, Eastwood, Ayala Malls Vertis, Powerplant Mall, Greenbelt 5, Ayala Malls the 30th, Robinsons Magnolia
  • Elephant Grounds: One Bonifacio High Street

From Yabu, we can't recommend their  Rosu Set (P395/120 grams) enough, which is our favorite katsu in Manila. Prefer ramen? You can't go wrong with Ippudo's Shiromaru Motoaji (P395), which got the top spot in our 2016 Top 10 Ramen Places in Manila list, or the spicy Karaka Special (P475).

Yabu's katsu is just consistently good.

And if good coffee is more your jam, be sure to drop by Elephant Grounds, who serves up great cups of joe. They also recently came out with a show-stopping Guanciale Carbonara (P395)!

Elephant Grounds' Guanciale Carbonara has a rich and slightly smoky profile.
