Taytay is one of those places where you can do a lot of things: Have day trips to nearby museums like Pinto Art Museum, visit Daranak falls, and score affordable items at Taytay Market. Here's something new in the area for your next visit to Taytay: Check out Typica Coffee, a sari-sari store turned into a Japanese-inspired café.
This two-story café has an aesthetic similar to the cafés you can see all over Japan, especially along their quiet streets and alleys. It has a small yet inviting minimalistic space painted in all white. There are wood accents, too, plus a wall that displays their coffee essentials. They also have an al-fresco dining area, which is great for those who prefer outdoor dining.
Compared to most cafés in the Philippines which have extensive menus, Typica's coffee menu sticks to the basics. They have Brewed Coffee (P60), Cold Brew (P70), Latte (80), Flat White (P80), Vanilla (P90), Caramel (P90), Hazelnut (P90), Mocha (P100), White Mocha (P100), and Caramel Macchiato (P100). The coffee menu even includes Japanese translations per item, adding to its Japanese vibe.
Typica also has pastries you can pair with your coffee. The café offers desserts like the Hokkaido Cheese Tart and mini Basque Burnt Cheesecakes, as well as Nutty Brownies and Chocolatey Brownies.
Typica is currently on soft launch and will have its grand opening on November 14. If you want to drop by, Typica is located at 72 E. Rodriguez Avenue, Barangay San Isidro, Taytay. You can find it in front of JB Badminton.
