(SPOT.ph) Korean barbecue, affectionately dubbed as "samgyup" here in the Philippines, makes for a filling experience, especially with most establishments offering unlimited meats and sides. If you can't go out and get your usual fix just yet, then check out Samgyup Bites! This Iloilo City shop takes inspiration from samgyupsal and packs the meat into rolls, perfect for your umami cravings. Best part? They deliver every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday.
The samgyup bites come in four different variants: the Pork Samgyup (P170/seven pieces) with the unbeatable classic cuts from its namesake; the Chicken Samgyup (P160/seven pieces) which has smoked chicken; Beef Samgyup (P190/seven pieces) which features soft, thin, and flavorful cuts; and—hold on to your seat for this—Kimchi Bacon (P180/eight pieces), a mix of two different flavors in one packed roll.
All rolls come with either a cheesy or spicy sauce in a plastic container. Take a look at all the fresh veggies and sesame seeds packed into this hefty treat! We know nothing can beat the experience of grilling in your fave Korean-barbecue restaurant, but we're pretty sure this comes close.
And what better pairing for a samgyup roll than kimchi? Folks in Metro Manila can check out Kimchi Go for a classic and well-balanced take on the spicy Korean staple. You can easily order from their online shop and have some kimchi delivered! We rounded up more places to get Kimchi in the Metro on this list.
