BLK 513 and Kumori Teamed Up and You'll Want to Try Their Buns

(SPOT.ph) Ever had melon pan? This Japanese bread gets its name not from its flavor, but from its arguably melon-like appearance from having a thin, cookie-like layer with a grid pattern on the outside. While it's mildly sweet and fairly plain on its own, this take on the melon pan features a crust with activated charcoal and a cream cheese filling. Meet the Activated Charcoal Melon Pan, a special collaboration item by BLK 513 and Kumori!

The Activated Charcoal Melon Pan has an richer and more decadent profile thanks to the cream cheese filling. The activated charcoal adds a slightly nutty taste and distinctive black hue that contrasts beautifully with the lighter shade of the bread and cream cheese. It's best served heated, so you can best appreciate the textural contrast of the crisp crust, soft and fluffy bread, and creamy filling. You can get them for P68 a piece, or P272 for a box of four.
