Angel Locsin Emotionally Responds To Claims The She’s Associated With NPA

Everyone’s attention was focused on Super Typhoon Rolly’s devastation in Bicol Region and Southern Luzon on Sunday, November 1.

As a result, Angel Locsin’s response to the serious accusation of AFP Southern Luzon Command chief Lt. Gen. Antonio Parlade Jr. did not gain mainstream media attention.

 

 

Parlade Jr recently trended on social media after he associated the older sister of Angel, Ella Colmenares, was a former member of the CPP-NPA-NDF.

This likewise dragged the name of the  said Kapamilya actress.

 

 

The spokesperson of the National Task Force to End Local C0mmunist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) said that during Ella’s time under the underground movement, Angel knew about it and the actress allegedly supported her sister.

 

 

Angel answered the issue on Henry Omaga Diaz’s program on Teleradyo on October 31.

Angel could not stop crying because of the allegations against him that were allegedly untrue.

 

 

“I never associated myself with the NPA. He [Parlade] associated me with the NPA.

“Bakit hindi po nila kami idinemanda kung sure na sure sila?

 

 

“Pero hindi, e. Gusto nila, sirain kami sa social media.”

“So, wala kaming choice, e. Kino-consider po ng legal team ko ang pagdedemanda rin po.

“Wala po akong masamang hangarin, wala po akong hidden agenda,”

 

 

On Tuesday, November 3, Parlade appeared and spoke on the controversial issue of red-tagging at the Senate committee on national defense hearing chaired by Senator Panfilo Lacson.

He denied that he had said that Angel was a member of the NPA.

 

 

But Parlade insisted that the actress’ sister Ella is a former member of the C0mmunist Party of the Philippines.

“I never said that Angel Locsin is an NPA, but ang statement niya ngayon, sinasabi niya ngayon, hindi raw siya NPA.

“I never said that she is an NPA.”

 

 

“Sana hindi na siya [Angel] magsinungaling na si Ella Colmenares ay hindi NPA dahil si Ella Colmenares ay talagang NPA.

“I know that she knows… We came here, we took an oath and we’re not going to say any lies here.”

 

Lacson is pleased with Parlade’s acquittal to Angel who is not a member of the NPA.

The senator, a friend of their family, confesses to Angel’s Neil Arce, Angel’s fiancé, and takes her as the godfather when the two get married.
