Homeless Man Returns Wallet To The Owner, Receives A Life Changing Reward In Return

Being homeless is perhaps one of the worst things that could happen to anybody.

With no roof over one’s head, practically broke, and everyone judging you, it is difficult for a homeless person to not take on any chance to make his or her situation a little bit better.

So what would you do if you are a homeless man down on his luck then you find a wallet with a chockful of cash and a credit lying around, waiting for you to pick it up?

This man from Thailand named Waralop did the unthinkable.

Niity Pongkriangyos lost an expensive Hermes wallet containing THB 20,000 ($580 or 30,000 Php) and a credit card. Waralop found the wallet and surrendered it to the police.

That is quite a feat, not to mention terribly honest, especially if you are someone who has not eaten a proper meal for days. The owner of the wallet could not help but express his admiration.

“I was totally surprised when the police told me they had my wallet as I didn’t even know I’d lost it.”

“If it was me in that position with no money I probably would have kept it.”

So what do you think the owner did to reward the man? Say thank you? Give a free lunch or a few bills perhaps?

None of the above. Because he was inspired by the homeless man’s honesty, the owner gave him an apartment to live in and a job at his factory as well!

“He was homeless and had just a few coins in his pocket and still handed it in. That shows a good, honest person. Just the kind of staff we need”

But wait, there’s more. Nitty’s wife, Tarika Patty, personally accompanied Waralop to shop for new clothes and other necessities so he can start a new life all over again.

“Waralop is such a good example that being kind really does pay off. When you’re kind to another, another is kind to you.”

According to Patty, who shared the story on social media, Waralop had been roaming the street for over a year and would use the Huay Kwang MRT station as a place to sleep during the night.

In her Facebook post, she said:

“He is well and eating healthy. He was asking if this was all a dream. Haha. Doing good can certainly make one very happy in life.”

Overwhelmed by the rewards he received, Waralop said:

“Im so grateful to be given this change to turn my life around. Having a clean bed to sleep in makes me so happy now.”

“I want to thank Nitty and Tarika for the kindness they both shown to me.”

Good job, Waralop! So everyone, don’t hesitate to do the good deed even if you are in the roughest of times.

You’ll never know, you may get rewarded for it.
