Jinky Oda became a popular comedian back in the ’80s. Her popularity as a comedian went up when Jinky included the comedy sitcom Okay Ka Fairy Ko featuring Bossing Vic Sotto and Alice Dixon.
Her character always had a conflict with the character of Ruby Rodriguez named Amy.
Aside from her sitcom, she also appeared in several movies. As we remember, Jinky once endorsed whitening products back in 2008.
“Actually, nagulat ako kung bakit ako ang pinili nila. Kakauwi ko lang from Australia noon at ang taba-taba ko. As usual, negra pa rin naman ako. Noong nilapitan ako para sa product na ito, hindi muna ako na-convince kasi hindi naman ako naniniwala na mag-iiba pa ang kulay ng balat ko. Pero sa naging paliwanag nila sa akin, sinubukan ko na rin,” she said about her endorsement.
Surprisingly, she still endorsing this product.
After leaving her showbiz career, Jinky Oda moved to California, USA
Although she’s not in the showbiz now, she still enjoys doing stand up comedy. She also has her own YouTube channel now but she just posts occasionally.
Back in 2005, Jinky received a Certification of Completion from the Actors Guild of the Philippines. She posted it on her social media.
This goes to show that she has not turned her back totally from acting.

“I have found a purpose in life when I joined the Victory Christian Fellowship,” said Oda, who finished a Cross-Cultural course and is a holder of a B.S. Nursing degree (from St. Rita, Manila).
